Tackling Copy : An Introduction to the Layering System Open to all VO talents, in all fields of VO from Commercials to E-Learning, and from Audiobooks to Animation and Video Games, to actors and non actors alike, this X Session masterclass explores the Layering System, from the base layers of script analysis to the top layers of intention and delivery, and how to apply it to get the most out of Copy, create depth of meaning, intentions and complex three dimensional characters. For the novice in the art of Voice Over, it is a step by step tool that allow one to delve deeper into the performance potential of any script, For the instinctive VO, it is a way to structure what comes naturally and achieve a deeper understanding. For the trained VO, it is a way to discover new entry points into copy and character building. The X-Session master class will involve practical approaches to copy, using volunteers and attendees to approach characters and scripts they have not seen before.
